Includes federal and provincial tax, basic and employment credits, base CPP credit, additional CPP deductions, CPP2 and EI. Annual averaging does not reproduce each payroll period.

Your estimate · CAD

Cash deductions only. These do not reduce income tax in this model.

How to read the result

Estimates assume one full year of salary and no other income. Monthly results are annual totals divided by 12, not a payslip or a filing calculation. Enter other annual payroll deductions separately; they reduce the displayed remainder without changing taxable income. Calculations run in your browser.

Use the scope above to decide whether the estimate applies to you. A full payslip can contain deductions and adjustments this model does not calculate.

Official sources

Source check: 2026-10-16. CRA federal, Ontario/Alberta bands and CPP/CPP2/EI amounts checked against the 2026 tables. Credits and special circumstances still require a full payroll audit. Next review: 2027-01-16.

How to use this salary calculator

  1. Enter salary for a full calendar year, or a steady monthly salary.
  2. Select Ontario or Alberta. Other provinces and Quebec payroll are outside the current model.
  3. Review income tax and employee contributions. The monthly result is an annual average, not a specific payslip.
