Planning in CHF: where to start

Plan regular CHF expenses and savings using your own net-income amount. Treat annual insurance or other large bills as separate budget items so a monthly surplus does not overlook them.

Compare the same costs and time period

If an asset or debt is denominated in another currency, convert it using a rate you choose before comparing amounts. These tools relabel currency but do not convert exchange rates. Swiss cantonal tax and payroll calculations are not included.

Fixed-rate loan payment in CHF

Enter your own amount and nominal annual rate. This general formula assumes equal monthly payments and excludes fees, insurance, taxes, variable rates and product-specific contract rules.

Illustrative monthly payment: CHF 456.33

Worked example: CHF 15’000.00 at an assumed 6% nominal annual rate over 36 months gives CHF 456.33 per month. This rate is an example, not a Switzerland market rate or offer.

Formula: payment = P × r / (1 − (1+r)−n), where r is the annual percentage divided by 1200 and n is months. At zero interest, payment = P/n. Use the full loan calculator.

Planned local coverage

These tools are coming soon and are not available as calculations:

Each needs its own official sources, supported circumstances and test cases before publication.

Before you compare results

Keep the currency and time period consistent. A monthly income estimate is an annual average unless the calculator explicitly models individual pay periods. The general loan and savings tools do not apply Switzerland tax law, fees, benefit rules or investment guarantees.

Changing the display currency does not convert exchange rates or change the legal jurisdiction of a calculator. Use the dedicated local tool for the scope described above.

Sources and maintenance

No local tax model is claimed. See the loan formula and compound growth assumptions for the general planning methods.

Source links and existing model years are retained from the current calculators. Check official guidance for your circumstances and report issues through our contact page. New local payroll, pension, property and benefit tools require source review and tests before publication.
